God has been making a way for me before conception. By the grace of God I know him, first and foremost I am a believer, a father, a husband and a patriot with a deep sense of obligation to we the people & our constitution. Fourth generation born Floridian, Bartow Polk County 1978 and graduated Countryside High School, Clearwater Florida in 1996.
Entrepreneur since childhood, I have always enjoyed challenges, problem-solving, engineering, and building. As a child I would often spend my time reverse engineering toys. I was mentored at an early age by a family friend who quickly became a father figure to me. Under his guidance I began studying mechanical engineering and learning the operations of an engineering and construction firm. Having worked in Construction over the last 24 years I have been fortunate to work alongside-- and learn from – some of the industry’s greatest leaders, completing numerous projects together exceeding billions, and more importantly, creating thousands of jobs and opportunities for individuals to grow while providing for their families. My high school sweetheart Tina and I married in 2003. We have two beautiful children, Channing & Madison. Between the years 2004-2006 I was a part time instructor at Sinclair Community College, teaching was a great honor and very fulfilling. I learned a lot about myself through teaching and helping others pursue their own dreams. I found it to be a very fulfilling and rewarding experience, an experience that forever shaped my career as I have continued serving our people and the government by focusing most of my efforts on US Army Corp of Engineers construction projects at Ft. Sill, Ft. Polk, Ft. Benning, Ft. Bragg, Ft. Stewart, Ft. Campbell, Robbins AFB, MacDill AFB, Wright-Patterson AFB, Eglin AFB, Tyndall AFB, and several VA hospitals. I have several very close friends who have served on the front lines of combat to defend our great nation’s freedom. Contributing through these projects has been my way of paying homage to our veterans and heroes who have sacrificed what many of us can only imagine.
My innate passion for politics is deep-rooted within my family lineage Dr. COL Nathaniel Scudder is my great x6 grandfather, a founding father who signed the Articles of Confederation and the only member of Congress to die in the Revolutionary War. Politicians are elected to serve the people, and should always place the needs of their constituents (bosses) above all. This has not been the case for several decades and President Trump quickly brought that to our attention. The government has become bloated over the last several years, placing an emphasis on the growth of Wall Street and Corporate America while losing sight of and sacrificing “Main Street” (the people). I have a desire to change this. I believe the government is merely what we make of it and it is time that we, the People, take back our congressional halls. We must establish term limits and flush the career politicians who have become short-sighted and complacent. We must expel those who have lost sight of our best interests while manipulating us and capitalizing on opportunities for their own personal financial and power gain. We must beware of those whose only power is derived from governing us.
Just like our forefathers, I will not sit by idly while our assets are stolen and discarded through reckless inflationary policies or lack thereof, our republic plundered, while the will of the American people is denied based on a fascist regime’s perception of what is best for ourselves rather than focusing on what we need and want for our families and our country as citizens. Our government has lost sight of what we stand for, what the fabric of our nation is made of, our morals, and our sense of duty to others.
It is for these reasons that I am running for the House of Representatives FL-12.
